Ramona Palabrica Go, a native of San Dionisio, Iloilo, is a Brigadier General in the Armed Forces of the Philippines AFP. A 1977 graduate of B.S. Chemistry at Central Philippine University, she joined the military service by enlisting in the Women's Auxiliary Corps in 1978. A year after she got promoted to Private First Class, she was promoted to Corporal in 1980 and after a month she got her promotion to Sergeant. Shortly thereafter, she was sent by the Philippine Army to train as an officer cadet at the Women's Royal Australian Army Corps School (WRAACS) under the Officer Candidate Program. Upon graduating from her Officer Cadet Course in WRAACS, she went back to the Philippines and was directly commissioned as Second Lieutenant in the AFP Regular Force on June 30, 1981. She started her career as an officer when she served as Platoon Leader of the Women's Auxiliary Corps Company for three years.
